Age 12, 1948 -Tommy landed his first role in this Durango Kid movie! He became such a favorite of the Producers that he played every roll they had for boys his age for the remainder of the movie series!
Durango's sidekick, Smiley Burnette; he was not known to be very socialable on the set, but, he'd always ruffel Tommy's hair first thing in the morning. Smiley just wanted to see that ear-to-ear smile and give a good to "bump start" to his day.
